September 5 we pulled into Savu Savu harbour after a remarkable passage - nothing happened for a change. We had gone through the Wallis passage on a slack tide with three other boats: Fourstar and Tai Mo Shan from NZ, and C Star from Australia. Due to the fact there were 2 sea stars in the fleet we became Maple Syrup for the passage. Light winds, starlit nights and then motoring for the last 20 hours.

After a pleasant week in Savu Savu we said goodbye to the Fourstar crew (they were heading to the US for a visit) , shopped at the market, then headed off with Tai Mo Shan, Aotea and C Star for Lautoka .

At the end of September we used the travel-lift at Vuda Point Marina to haul out Sea Star to repair the saildrive. Incredibly, thanks to Matt on C Star, we were back in the water by the next day and headed out for a week exploring the Yasawas. We returned to Vuda to provision, buy new water pump seals and fuel up for the the trip to Tanna.
