Yamba
What a difference a year makes.Last year at this time on Quadra we were flat out painting the hull, re-installing the engine and replacing the forestay.
Sea Star at Buker Marine
This year we are in Yamba, NSW, just north of Coff's Harbour.
Yamba Harbour Marina at arrow (Clarence River brown from recent rain)
Heading up to the nearest beach where the skipper is learning to surf
Removing the mast to replace 24 year-old rod rigging.
Our dinghy has been named Swallow (after Swallows and Amazons)
Part of cruising is making new friends, the sad part is saying goodbye. We first met the crew of Xhabbo, a farming family from Golden Bay on the South Island of New Zealand, soon after entering Australia at Bundaberg. They shared the Lady Musgrave anchorage at Christmas and we met again at Fraser Island. We've enjoyed our music nights, water fights and potluck dinners. May our paths cross again soon.
