Christmas in Paris
This is our third Christmas on Sea Star. Christmas Down Under was great fun out on the Reef with visiting friends, but Boxing Day last year in Phuket was a little too exciting, Since arriving in Paris in the first week of December, we've explored the Marais by foot, searching out local stores and markets. We joined the local Paris Bibliotheque and the American Library, a half-hour bus ride away. The unusually cold weather has most sailors tucked around their heaters, but we are gradually getting to know our neighbours. Ed and Julie, Americans on Cinnabar, helped us sort out our propane. Alan and Anne, fellow Canadians on Summer's Day II, lent us guide books and maps. Our Danish neighbours set up our wifi and give us lifts to fill our diesel jugs. Emma discovered Giselle and Marcelle, kids down the dock on Risico. Our Christmas treat was a spell-binding rendition of Vivaldi's Les Quatre Saisons.
