October 9th the storm clouds lifted and we said goodbye to Kilmore Quay.
Morton and Mark on Sabbatical left the same time
motoring out of the harbour we passed fishermen repairing their nets.
The first day we motorsailed and then we were hit with 30 knot winds on the nose for the next four days. One evening we lay ahull when it started gusting to 40 knots. It was a very wet passage, one of the overhead lights filled with water, and at 0200 on Friday 13th we got a large chunk of fish net round the prop.Later that day the skipper hopped over and cut the net free.
