Catching up with Spanish Friends
Sailing around the world we've been fortunate to meet up with family and friends. In the 1930's, my grandmother took my father and aunt on a Grand Tour. During lunch one day, she noticed a young Spaniard eating by himself, and invited Jose to join the family table. A friendship developed, and for more than a half-century our two families have kept in touch. I 've met various members of our Spanish family during visits to Canada, but this was my first chance to visit Jose at his estate near Antequera.
